It has been our goal from the beginning that those of you who run restaurants should feel that we are working for you. This may sound obvious, but it isn't. Over time, we have seen that when we listen to restaurants' wishes and meet their demands, we also gain good ambassadors.

Our history
Over 20 years alongside restaurants
2003
The first booking system
WaiterAid is founded when Bockholmen Hav & Restaurang become the first to test a web-based booking system. The internet wasn't entirely common for restaurants and wireless was unstable and slow – but we got started.
2009
Online booking and new momentum
We hire a CEO and sales team who get WaiterAid moving. At the same time, online booking is launched, along with the payment model that still applies today: a low entry price for the system and a cost for bookings received online.
2012
The breakthrough
Several larger restaurants and many in fine dining discover the benefits of WaiterAid. Satisfied customers spread by word of mouth.
2015
BokaBord is launched
Discovery and booking are linked in the same flow – guests find restaurants and book directly, without the restaurant paying extra for the booking.
2020
The industry adapts
We develop seating planning, capacity management, and guest communication in close dialogue with our customers.
2023
Marketing added
Newsletters, campaigns, and editorial visibility enable restaurants to engage with both new and returning guests.
2026
Analysis and advice
Over 1,300 restaurants use WaiterAid. Now, analysis and advice are being expanded – towards the Nordics' most complete offering for restaurants.
